Kantuckee is an independent editorial website devoted to useful, carefully researched information about Kentucky.
We publish practical guides to parks, trails, caves, attractions, towns, historic places, lodging, food, and other experiences across the Commonwealth. Our goal is to help readers make informed decisions—not simply provide inspirational lists or repeat promotional claims.
How our content is created
Kantuckee operates as a faceless organizational publication. Articles may be published under the Kantuckee Editorial Team byline rather than under personal author profiles.
Our editorial process emphasizes:
- Primary and authoritative sources, including government agencies, park systems, destination operators, museums, and official maps.
- Practical details such as distances, reservations, operating seasons, accessibility, restrictions, costs, and safety considerations.
- Clear fact-check dates when information may change.
- Distinguishing documented facts from folklore, interpretation, or unverified reports.
- Revising or removing articles that no longer meet our standards.
We do not claim firsthand experience unless an article specifically documents such experience. Descriptions based on research are presented as researched information, not as personal travel accounts.
Accuracy and updates
Hours, prices, trail conditions, closures, reservation policies, and other visitor information can change without notice. Readers should confirm important details with the responsible organization before traveling.
We periodically review and update articles, but we cannot guarantee that every change made by an outside organization will immediately appear on Kantuckee.
Corrections
We welcome correction requests supported by reliable evidence. If you believe an article contains an error, outdated information, an accessibility concern, or an improperly attributed image or quotation, please use our Contact page.
Include the article URL, the information you believe should be corrected, and a link or document supporting the correction when possible. Substantive corrections may be incorporated into the article with an updated review date.
Advertising and affiliate relationships
Kantuckee may display advertising or use affiliate links. Advertising and commercial relationships do not determine our factual conclusions or prevent us from discussing limitations, closures, safety concerns, or other information readers need.
When a link may generate a commission, we aim to disclose that relationship clearly. Additional information is available in our Affiliate Disclosure.
