April is National Car Care Month

Spring officially began at 9:15 EDT on March 20 with the Spring Equinox, when day and night are the same length. From now until the Autumn Equinox on September 22, daylight hours will increase each day. And that means there’s more time for daytime driving fun. To make those hours more pleasant and care-free, it’s important that you keep your vehicle in top running condition for whatever season is at hand. But in our busy lives, it sometimes slips our minds to take care of our cars. That’s why the non-profit Car Care Council has designated April as National Car Care Month.

There are lots of things you can do to prepare your car for the warmer months ahead. Some require the help of a qualified auto mechanic, but there are many you can perform yourself. With the bewildering array of technology in today’s automobiles, it’s easy to get overwhelmed and find yourself stumped as to where to start.

No problem, the Car Care Council has you covered. They have shared the many ways routine vehicle maintenance can free you from auto repair hassles on their website and social media platforms. Car Care Council Executive Director Rich White says, “With more and more motorists turning to cell phones, mobile devices, and the internet for auto care information, we’ve made it easier than ever to learn about vehicle service and repair by simply following the Car Care Council online.” “During National Car Care Month and throughout the year, we are constantly sharing information to help motorists keep their vehicles operating safely, dependably and efficiently.”

The Car Care Council website is chock-full of helpful tips such as a “Spring Forward Safety Checklist”, an informative video on the dangers of potholes and “The Ten Most Common Vehicle Repairs.”

In addition, following the Car Care Council on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram and Pinterest gives you access to a vault-full of valuable car care information. You can even sign up for a free service schedule specific to your vehicle and driving style.
